CHIROPRACTIC

Dr. Kristine Lukens D.C. brings over 30 years of chiropractic, soft tissue, and biomechanical experience as ProAm’s in house Chiropractor.

Dr. Lukens works in a coordinated manner with other ProAm physicians to determine the best treatment solutions and highest probable outcomes specific to each injury and time to being back to 100%. Some of Dr Lukins treatment solutions include:

Adjustment Manipulation

Spinal adjustments and manipulation are a fundamental part of Chiropractic care. This can help ease wear and tear on the joints and ligaments, and help eliminate premature wear. This treatment of realigning the vertebrae back into the proper position allows the body to function at its’ fullest.

Cupping

Cupping is the application of suction or vacuum to the skin, raising the tissue, allowing energy blockages to be restored and trigger points to be released. The marks on the skin, after cupping is performed, are generally not sensitive to the touch as there is no blunt force used.

Graston Therapy

This non-invasive technique uses designed stainless steel instruments to help the clinician identify and treat chronic inflammation and soft tissue fibrosis. GT allows for the Chiropractor to get into contact with the adhesion, breaking up scar tissue, restoring range of motion and eliminating pain.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is applied using a round-healed wand or probe that is put in direct contact with the patient’s skin. Ultrasound gel is used on all surfaces of the head in order to reduce friction. Ultrasound can produce many effects including: tissue relaxation, increase local blood flow, scar tissue breakdown, while reducing local swelling and promote healing.

Rocktape

Rocktape is used to treat sports and non-sports injuries, including shin splints, plantar fascitis, runner’s knee, joint pain and back pain. The rocktape lifts the skin away from the muscle and fascia below, creating a decompression effect. Over time, rocktape inhibits overactive muscles and decompresses areas of swelling and inflammation.
